This 2" adjustable bottom hinge conceals a thrust bearing that turns sliding friction into rolling motion, so even the heaviest infilled gates swing freely. The bearing lifts the leaf off the pin shoulder, sparing both the pintle and the post plate from grinding wear. Adjustable after installation, the body lets you raise or lower the corner to compensate for concrete settlement or hinge wear. Corrosion-treated steel survives outdoor exposure without seizing or pitting. This foundation component lets you dial in gate height from the ground up.
